W trzecim, Panicznym tomie Dzieł wybranych Topora nie ma ani grama waty. Każde zdanie uczestniczy w twórczej grze wyobraźni i jest przesiąknięte piekielną inteligencją. Jest tu przenikliwość obnażająca konwencję literacką czy społeczną, ośmieszająca jakieś motywacje czy ambicje, jest komizm, niesprowadzający się do śmiesznych dialogów i obrazków, ale będący metodycznym sposobem przetwarzania rzeczywistości. Obejmuje on cały świat przedstawiony tych tekstów: to pan-komizm, wszech-komizm.
Opis
W kontekście Topora (i podobnych mu twórców i twórczyń) nadużywa się sformułowania „literatura absurdu”. Jest raczej na odwrót: nie mamy tutaj do czynienia z czymś pozbawionym sensu, tylko z sensem pogłębionym. Absurdalność to pozór, bo opisywane zdarzenia rządzą się ukrytym sensem wyobraźni, a być może prawem, wedle którego naprawdę działa umysł – pozostawiony sam sobie, odłączony od świata narzucającego mu swoje oczekiwania. Gdyby absurd był prawdziwy, nie moglibyśmy go zrozumieć.
