W styczniu, na dwa miesiące przed rozpoczęciem mojego sabbatical, G., która zwyczaje akademickie ma w małym palcu, poradziła mi, żebym niczego nie planowała. I tak wszystko potoczy się całkiem inaczej! Te twórcze urlopy mają bowiem tajemniczą właściwość: zawsze przynoszą naukowcom niespodzianki, przewracając ich życia do góry nogami. Jak zwykle, miała rację. Nie powiedziała tylko, że niespodzianki te będą dotyczyć całego globu.

Agnieszka Taborska, pisarka, historyczka sztuki, romanistka, znawczyni surrealizmu. Autorka ponad 20 książek tłumaczonych na kilka języków, między innymi: Spiskowcy wyobraźni. Surrealizm; Okruchy amerykańskie; Senny żywot Leonory de la Cruz; Wieloryb, czyli przypadek obiektywny; Nie tak jak w raju („Dalkey Archive Best European Fiction 2017”). Jej bajki dla dzieci i dorosłych dostały wiele nagród. Wykłada w Rhode Island School of Design w Providence.
